The Story Behind Hybrid Yoga

Meet Annabel

I created Hybrid Yoga to bridge the gap between tradition and science — to make yoga not just something we do, but something we truly understand through evidence-based yoga practices. After years of teaching and studying anatomy, I realized many students were moving through yoga without understanding their own movement patterns, limitations, or potential. By focusing on mindful movement, I wanted to change that and enhance the experience in our yoga teacher training.

My Approach

Hybrid Yoga is a modern, evidence-based yoga approach that seamlessly blends mindful movement, anatomy, and practical philosophy. 


Every class and training I teach is designed to help you: 


- Move with awareness and purpose 

- Understand your body’s unique structure 

- Build lasting strength and mobility 

- Teach (or practice) with clarity and confidence

Experience & Qualifications

Yoga Alliance 500-Hour Certified Senior Teacher with over 20 years of experience in evidence-based yoga. Founder of the Hybrid Yoga Foundation Plus Teacher Training Program, which emphasises mindful movement and comprehensive teacher training. Qualified in pre- and post-natal yoga, and creator of a relaxation program for children in schools, bringing yoga’s benefits to young learners.
